About Us: As we prepare to work together, please note that the EXTENSION Center’s Specialty consist of two main features: · Working with schools to provide meaningful community service internship programs for students; · Working with organizations, churches and small groups in setting up service projects that promote volunteerism in the Inner-city.

2009 Accomplishments Included:
· Providing resources to over 1000 children and over 800 families · Escorting over twelve groups of college students from American University, George Mason, and the University of Maryland to visit incarcerated youth at both the New Beginnings and Youth Services Rehabilitative Detention Centers · Awarding the Malissa B. Perkins Scholarship Award to three students graduating from high school and going to college · Giving away school supplies to 300 KIDZ at the Back to School Rally · Furnishing 400 Baskets to families at the Thanksgiving Rally · Providing at the CHRISTmas rally, 3000 toys to children living in the community, shelters, prisons, and to various citywide book clubs

| As a community-based organization, the EXTENSION Center’s mission is to provide educational training services that positively impact lives of children, youth and adults living in inner-city neighborhoods. To accomplish our mission we sponsor 7 rallies, 6 educational training programs and Good Samaritan Emergency Compassion Relief Projects for people needing help getting back on their feet. |
